Chris specialises in Partner recruitment, establishing new law firms, and facilitating law firm mergers and acquisitions.
Chris has unrivalled relationships (which are often long-term friendships) with the leading Partnerships/boards in Perth’s legal community. With a background in both law and business, Chris is engaged by boards to develop law firm strategy in addition to Partner level recruitment.
Being a former lawyer and having completed his studies at the University of Western Australia, Chris is very passionate about the Western Australian Legal Community. Chris is committed to building sustainable, profitable legal teams. He regularly presents on a range of topics including the impact of NewLaw, law firm strategic planning, structuring profitable law firms, legal market trends, performance management and promoting mental well-being for legal professionals.

Rebecca oversees KBE’s In-House Legal recruitment team and Flexible Working Hub.
Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Rebecca worked as both a Managing Partner and Senior In-House Counsel. She has a strong interest in driving efficiencies within legal teams using new technology, innovative work practices, and flexible working arrangements.
As Managing Partner of HodgkinsonJohnston (where she remains a Director), Rebecca specialised in aviation and aerospace law as well as commercial and corporate transactional work. Rebecca advised Australian and international clients on a wide range of aviation matters including legislative and regulatory matters, sale and purchase of aircraft including safety and security issues. Rebecca also worked on secondment at Pilbara Ports Authority.
Prior to establishing HodgkinsonJohnston, Rebecca worked in Corporate/M&A and Transport & Logistics at Clayton Utz. She has taught in the law schools at the University of Western Australia and the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Rebecca is admitted to practice law in both Australia and New York. She completed Law (Honours) and Arts (Politics & International Relations) degrees at Notre Dame University and is currently completing her MBA at UWA.
Rebecca is Co-Founder and Vice President of the Cottesloe Roosters Football Club and plays in its women’s side. She was recognised as Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year (30 or Under) at the 2018 Australasian Law Awards.

From October 2011 to 31 December 2017, as CEO and Managing Partner, John led Squire Patton Boggs to be one of the fastest growing law firms in Australia, with offices in Perth, Sydney and Darwin.

Travis has two decades of experience in complex insurance and risk mitigation solutions. He spent the first 15 years of his career at HUB International, which is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world. Travis started his commercial insurance career focused on technology companies and publicly listed companies.
In 2003, he began specialising in mining and resources, building one of the largest resources client bases throughout North America in record time. Travis led a team that insured over 250 mining companies, whilst also managing a portfolio of clients with complex insurance issues across the Legal, Accounting, Financial Institutions and Property/Development sectors.

Sharon commenced her consulting career with a national recruitment firm. Sharon spent 10 years advising clients across various industries where she built and managed a number of high performing teams. Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Sharon managed a multi-million dollar client portfolio for a global relocation company, overseeing daily operations and providing strategic support.
Sharon has developed a reputation for delivering highly customised solutions, to both lawyers and law firms. She always goes out of her way to deliver an exceptional level of service.
Sharon is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Management.

Daniel works closely with Rebecca Johnston in KBE Legal Hub’s In-house Legal Recruitment team with a focus on contracting.
Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Daniel worked in a number of legal roles specialising in commercial litigation and corporate insolvency. During this time Daniel advised a number of financial institutions and insolvency practitioners. During his legal practice he developed a strong interest in the use of technology and innovative solutions to make the lives of lawyers better and more productive in the process.
Daniel also has considerable experience working in mining and construction having spent six years as a commercial advisor in a multinational mining company. Working in a multi-functional and global environment added significant skills (including stakeholder engagement and change management) to Daniel’s legal practice experience.
Daniel is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. In addition to his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia (UWA), Daniel has a Graduate Certificate in Project Management and is currently completing his MBA at UWA.
When not finding innovative solutions for his clients, Daniel enjoys a daily workout, spending time with his German wife (and trying to speak German) and planning his next snowboarding trip.
Sam works with KBE Legal Hub’s Senior Legal Counsel, Directors and Principal Consultants across a broad spectrum of permanent legal recruitment and contracting. He advises lawyers, law firms and in-house teams to create happy, healthy and profitable legal teams by engaging a combination of permanent and contracting lawyers.
Sam commenced his legal career as a paralegal/law clerk in November 2015 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2018. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Business Law) at Curtin University, and a Bachelor of Laws at Edith Cowan University.
Sam is very passionate about business, people and law. He is developing a reputation for his incredible listening skills, proactive approach and ability to think outside of the square. Sam is an active member of the Western Australian legal community and joined KBE Legal Hub to help make the Western Australian legal profession an even better place.
