Chris is a law firm management consultant who is retained by law firm partnerships and boards to advise on legal market trends, risks and opportunities, pricing methodologies, client engagement strategies, legal technology, recruitment and retention. He specialises in Partner/senior level recruitment and is currently a strategic adviser to some of Australia’s fastest growing law firms.
Chris is very passionate about driving positive change in the Western Australian legal profession. He is a practising lawyer first admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2008, and a guest lecturer at several law schools.
Beyond his role at KBE Legal Hub, Chris is a Director of KBI, Co-founder of The Piddington Society, a former Director of Parkerville Children & Youth Care, founder of The Vine House, and has been chairman of a number of boutique law firms. Outside of his business interests in Australia, Chris was part of an international team involved in the acquisition and farm-out of a Brazilian iron ore project.
In 2011, Chris was recognised in the 40Under40 at the age of 27 and remains one of Western Australia’s youngest ever recipients of the award.

Rebecca oversees KBE’s In-House Legal recruitment team.
Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Rebecca worked as both a Managing Partner and Senior In-House Counsel. She has a strong interest in driving efficiencies within legal teams using new technology, innovative work practices, and flexible working arrangements.
As Managing Partner of HodgkinsonJohnston (where she remains a Director), Rebecca specialised in aviation and aerospace law as well as commercial and corporate transactional work. Rebecca advised Australian and international clients on a wide range of aviation matters including legislative and regulatory matters, sale and purchase of aircraft including safety and security issues. Rebecca also worked on secondment at Pilbara Ports Authority.
Prior to establishing HodgkinsonJohnston, Rebecca worked in Corporate/M&A and Transport & Logistics at Clayton Utz. She has taught in the law schools of the University of Western Australia and the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Rebecca is admitted to practice law in both Australia and New York. She completed Law (Honours) and Arts (Politics & International Relations) degrees at Notre Dame University and recently completed her MBA at UWA in December 2018.
Rebecca is Co-Founder and Vice President of the Cottesloe Roosters Football Club and plays in its women’s side. She was recognised as Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year (30 or Under) at the 2018 Australasian Law Awards.

John was the Australian Managing Partner and CEO of Squire Patton Boggs and prior to that MinterEllison for over 25 years. From October 2011 to 31 December 2017, as CEO and Managing Partner, John led Squire Patton Boggs to be one of the fastest growing law firms in Australia, with offices in Perth, Sydney and Darwin.
Beyond life at KBE, John is the Founder of People, Passion, Performance – a consultancy focused on building highly profitable and sustainable teams.
Travis has two decades of experience in complex insurance and risk mitigation solutions. He spent the first 15 years of his career at HUB International, which is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world. Travis started his commercial insurance career focused on technology companies and publicly listed companies.
In 2003, he began specialising in mining and resources, building one of the largest resources client bases throughout North America in record time. Travis led a team that insured over 250 mining companies, whilst also managing a portfolio of clients with complex insurance issues across the Legal, Accounting, Financial Institutions and Property/Development sectors.

Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Siemone worked within a boutique recruitment company for 13 years, establishing teams in Auckland and Wellington.

Sharon joined KBE Legal Hub in 2018 and works closely with Rebecca Johnston in KBE’s In-house Legal Recruitment team. Providing support to KBE’s in-house and contracting team, Sharon has developed a reputation for delivering highly customised solutions, to both lawyers and law firms. She always goes out of her way to deliver an exceptional level of service.
Sharon commenced her consulting career with a national recruitment firm. Sharon spent 10 years advising clients across various industries where she built and managed a number of high performing teams. Prior to joining KBE Legal Hub, Sharon managed a multi-million dollar client portfolio for a global relocation company, overseeing daily operations and providing strategic support.
Sharon is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Management.
Sam joined KBE Legal Hub in 2018 and specialises in advising lawyers with 1 year PAE through to Senior Associate/Special Counsel level. He provides our national, international and boutique law firm client base with access to the best lawyers in the market.
Prior to joining KBE he started his legal career as a paralegal/law clerk in November 2015 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2018. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Business Law) at Curtin University, and a Bachelor of Laws at Edith Cowan University.
Sam is very passionate about business, people and law. He is developing a reputation for his incredible listening skills, proactive approach and ability to think outside of the square. Sam is an active member of the Western Australian legal community.
